Elinor Alaimo Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Methuen, MA- Elinor (Flanagan) Alaimo passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen. Born on April 7th, 1924, Elinor was the daughter of James and Hannah (Kelly) Flanagan. Elinor attended Lawrence schools and was employed at Allen Shoe in Haverhill for many years before her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed various arts and crafts such as crocheting and flower arranging. Elinor also had a love for vacationing and traveling to various places. Elinor is survived by her husband Louis Alaimo of Methuen, one son, Michael Mansour and his wife Maura of Methuen, five grandchildren, Tara Mansour-Neilon and her husband Brendan of Lawrence, Kera Mansour of Methuen, Fara Mosto and her husband Robert of Salem, NH, Sara Mansour of Haverhill and Michael Mansour of Methuen. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Kyle Mansour, Casey and Fiona Neilon and Gabriella and Molly Mosto, two sisters-in law, Katherine Flanagan and Margaret Flanagan as well as several nieces and nephews. Elinor was pre-deceased by her four brothers, Tom, Jack, Jim and Walter Flanagan. The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff of the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen. At the Families request arrangements were held privately. ARRANGEMENTS: At the family?s request all arrangements will be private.
