Eleanor M. Marcello Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

METHUEN ? Eleanor M. (Martinage) Marcello, 93 of Methuen, passed away Tuesday November 13, 2012 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen with her family by her side. Born and educated in Methuen, she was the daughter of Sylvanus and Mary (Rice) Martinage and attended Methuen schools. A homemaker, she was an attendant of St. Monica?s Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality; she was also a member of the Ladies D.A.V. Auxiliary. She worked at the Methuen East Middle School and was also a crossing guard. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. The widow of Carrol W. Marcello, she is survived by her two sons, Robert W. Marcello and his wife Donna of Seabrook, NH and Dennis C. Marcello and his wife Karen of Salem, NH.; one brother Albert Martinage of Cape Cod, and a son-in-law Stephen Phaneuf of Salem, NH. Grandchildren Kimberly, Katelyn, Rory-Elizabeth, Bethany L., Gina, Alyson and Daniel; great-grandchildren Brady, Hannah, Jaden, Brayden, Ella, Thomas, Bejamin and Lance. Several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was the mother of the late Kay Ellen Phaneuf. Eleanor?s family would like to thank the staff at Nevins for all of their compassionate comfort and care and also the staff of the Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem, NH. ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to St. Monica?s Church 212 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:00p.m. ? 6:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00a.m. in St. Monica?s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
