Eileen L. Doran

Plaistow, NH – Eileen L. (Fitzpatrick) Doran, in her 99th year, of Plaistow, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Ward Health Center in Windham. She was the beloved wife of the late John W. Doran, Jr. with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Eileen was beloved by all that knew her. Eileen was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of John and Agnes (Hubbard) Fitzpatrick. She attended St. Mary’s grammar school and graduated from Lawrence High School as class salutatorian and then went on to graduate from the McIntosh Business School in Lawrence. Eileen worked for the submarine signal division of the US Navy in Boston as a teletype operator. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was the past president of St. Michael’s Church Guild of North Andover, and volunteered at St. Michael’s Church of North Andover. Eileen also volunteered at St. Patrick’s School in Sacramento, CA and at the Sacramento Food Bank. Eileen was the devoted mother of Cheryl Doran Girard of Santa Rosa, CA, John P. Doran of Sacramento, CA, and Mary Doran Anderson of Plaistow, NH. She was the loving grandmother of Christopher Hamilton, Bill Doran, Nathaniel Girard and his wife Kasey, Beth Anderson and Sarah Anderson and her fiancé Tony Ehret. Eileen was the cherished great grandmother of John, Shannon, Parker, Mason, Mateo, Marcos, Kevin, and Patrick. She is predeceased by her brothers John and Francis and 3 sisters, Claire Cunningham, Rita Judge, and Katherine Walker. Eileen was also the dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and a cherished cousin to many. Family and friends will honor and celebrate Eileen’s life by gathering for her calling hours on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. At the request of the family, burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
