Donna A. Allen Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donna Ann (Young) Allen passed away at home after a heroic fight with cancer on Friday, April 12, 2013 surrounded by her family. Donna was born in Brunswick, Maine on May 16th, 1942. She was raised in Bath, Maine and attended schools there. She graduated from the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. She lived for 35 years in Methuen with her family before moving to Salisbury Beach, MA. She was a talented painter and craftsperson; she taught craft classes in her home for many years. Donna was always involved in her community. She was a member of many organizations. Most recently she served on The Salisbury Beautification Committee and the Salisbury Beach Betterment Association. Donna was predeceased by her father, George Young, and her mother Barbara (Gray) Young. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Herbert Allen, and their three children: son Christopher and wife Francine (Haggar) Allen, daughter Carin (Allen) and husband Bob Duteau, and son Patrick and wife Michelle (Regan). Donna was adored by her three grandchildren Devon and Brooke Allen, and Brienna Duteau. Friends will be warmly received at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM.
