Denis L. Bourassa Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Obituary Methuen, MA ? Denis L. ?Denny? Bourassa, 81, died Monday March 2, 2009 at the Holy Family Hospital. He was born in Methuen son of Phillipp and Georgiana (Paradis) Bourassa. For more than 31 years Mr. Bourassa was employed with the Raytheon, Co. in Bedford, Ma. as a mechanical designer, and was very proud of his work on the Patriot Missile. During world war II Denny served his country in the United States Army prior to being honorably discharged at wars end. Before its closing Mr. Bourassa had been a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He was an avid golfer at the Merrimack Valley Golf Course in Methuen, and also enjoyed fishing, Foxwood?s, loved traveling with his wife Geraldine and playing 45?s. Denis is survived by his wife of 59 years; Geraldine M. (Sheehan) Bourassa. He is also survived by children Retired Methuen Fire Chief Kenneth F. and his wife Gloria Bourassa of Methuen, Christine and husband William Dryden of Windham, NH, Kathleen and husband David Bartlett of Kingston, NH, and Maureen and husband John Connors of Long Island, NY, two sisters Doris and husband Conrad Provencher, and Jacqueline Crowell. 7 grandchildren; Tina and husband Sean Quick, Jennifer and husband Jeremy Beland, William and wife Alicia Dryden, Michelle Dryden, Alexandra, Jack and Riley-Anne Connors, greatgrandchildren; Noah and Annalise Quick, Alicia and Brandon Beland as well as many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday morning at 9 o?clock in Saint Monica?s Church in Methuen. At a later date burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
