David Kimball

David Kimball, age 62, of Lawrence, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at his home in Lawrence after a lengthy decline in health. Born in Lawrence on October 5, 1959 and was the son of the late Thomas and Rita (Deschenes) Kimball. He attended the Oliver School and graduated from Lawrence High School. David attended Opportunity Works in Haverhill. He also participated in many local organizations dedicated to serving the needs of the physically and mentally challenged children and adults of the Greater Lawrence area. David loved to sing whether he knew the words or not. When he was at a loss for words you would hear him proudly humming right along not missing a beat, especially to his favorite singer, Kenny Rogers. David was always happy. Always greeted you with a cheery "HI" and in spite of the many difficult health challenges he faced during his entire life he never ever complained. He had a very special bond with his older brother, Paul. They were like two peas in a pod. Whether it be playing cards, making puzzles, playing boggle, or just watching their favorite TV shows together. In November, 2016, David moved into a group home run by the American Training, he was very well cared for and loved by his new extended family. He quickly became friends with his new roommates. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas R. and Rita R. (Deschenes) Kimball. David will be dearly missed by his loving brother, Paul Kimball of Haverhill; cherished sisters, Margaret Stone and her husband, Michael of Londonderry, NH, Diane Noel and her husband, Raymond of Lawrence, and Carol Belinsky and her husband, Brian of Newton, NH. In addition, he also is survived by five nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews. David’s family would like to thank the many special people who have been an instrumental part of his life throughout the years: All the American Training care takers that came into David’s life and cared for him, especially Magdalena, who went above and beyond in her care and concern for David’s medical well-being. They are all truly angels on earth. Family and friends will honor and celebrate David’s life by gathering for his calling hours on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Michael Parish, 196 Main Street in North Andover, MA. Entombment will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence.
