I just found out about his passing, and I am heartbroken. I loved Mr.Sheehan at GLTHS he was always so nice and friendly. He would let me steal candy from his candy dish when no one else was allowed to touch it. He was a staple in my high school years, and I will always remember him. Rest in Peace.

To John’s wife Linda, his children and the entire Sheehan family, I offer my deepest sympathy in hearing about John’s passing. He was one year ahead of me in the Auto Body Department at the Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High School when we met. I reconnected with him back in 1998 at Fort Devens while I was a member of The Mass Army National Guard. We shared some stories about both of us enlisting in the US Army in 1974 and later on both of us retiring after many years of either National Guard or Army Reserve service to our country. I will always remember John as a well liked person I crossed paths with and was honored and privileged to know. May John Rest in Peace.

This was such a shocking and sad obituary to stumble upon. My heart is broken. John and I served many years in the army reserves back in the nineties and we kept in touch. He never failed to send me a happy 4th of July text. I can’t believe I won’t ever get another one from him. We had so many laughs and kept promising to get together for dinner again so Linda and I could finally meet. And life got in the way. Don’t put off what’s important because it is a hard lesson after the fact. It could be too late. I’m so sorry for your unbearable loss but take comfort in all of the great memories you all shared.
